what I think

Marijuana, the most often used illegal drug in this country, is a product of the hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. The main active chemical in marijuana, also present in other forms of cannabis, is THC. Marijuana effects everyone differently. My opinion is that many things shown by non profit organizations and the government lie about these things just to scare people that have never tried marijuana, because it would look frightening to anybody who has not tried it. Marijuana dose have positive effects, including pain relief, helping with meditation (yoga), stress relief, problems with gaining weight (hunger simulating), the ability to do something (energy giving), and bringing people closer together. Marijuana VS. Alcohol. Alcohol is deadly; marijuana is not. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 20,000 Americans die every year as the direct result of alcohol consumption. The number for marijuana is zero. In addition, alcohol overdose deaths are not just possible, but an all-too-frequent occurrence. So why does the government allow alcohol but not marijuana?
